The luxury hospitality brand Six Senses plans to open a resort near Colorado’s Telluride mountain town in 2028, marking the first luxury property in the Mountain West region for IHG Hotels & Resorts, the parent company of Six Senses.
Six Senses Telluride will be built into a box canyon with 14,000-foot peaks of the San Juan Mountain range within the Rockies. The 77-key resort will include 24 residences from two to five bedrooms, a gym, cinema, lounge, game room, several food and beverage spaces, ski concierge services, and wellness treatment rooms with a sauna and cryotherapy bath.
The real estate construction group The Vault Home Collection will develop the property with Six Senses. In total, Six Senses operates 27 hotels and resorts with 40 others in development.
“The spectacular Colorado landscape, sublime snow conditions and quaint community feel of Mountain Village inspired us to lay roots here,” said Matthew Shear, lead developer at The Vault. “This project is the culmination of our ongoing collaboration with Six Senses to open this premier mountain destination to the world’s most discerning travelers and residents.”
