The real estate firm Rueben Brothers has selected the Auberge Resorts Collection to manage its new Cambridge House luxury hotel opening at 94 Piccadilly — a historic property in London’s Mayfair area that has previously hosted Queen Victoria, among other members of British royalty.
Cambridge House was also formerly home to the In and Out Military Club for officers of the Royal Navy and British Army from 1865 to 1999. The new hotel is expected to open in late 2025 with 102 rooms, an open-air jasmin courtyard, Georgian ballroom, hydrotherapy facilities, two heated swimming pools and seven treatment rooms. It will also open a brasserie-style restaurant through an upcoming culinary partnership.
Rueben Brothers has committed about $1.3 billion to renovate its 1.3-acre property around Cambridge House. The Auberge Resorts Collection runs additional European luxury hotels in France and Santorini with another set to open in Florence. The company is part of The Friedkin Group, which also owns Gulf States Toyota and Italian soccer club AS Roma, among other organizations.
“Cambridge House is one of the most exciting projects my family and I have ever brought to fruition,” said Jamie Reuben, principal for Reuben Brothers. “Our vision for this special property is not just to offer a new destination but a new level of hospitality and something that London has not seen before. We chose Auberge Resorts Collection for the brand’s unrivaled spirit of intention — to provide a distinct and unparalleled luxury hospitality experience.”
