Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors has announced the appointment of Latanya Mapp Frett as its new president and CEO, succeeding founding President and CEO Melissa Berman.

Frett aims to continue to grow the organization’s impact and build on Berman’s track record of "accelerating philanthropy in pursuit of a just world.”

Frett, currently president and CEO of the Global Fund for Women, was chosen after a global search by the board of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors and will begin her new role in 2024. Previously, she was executive director of Planned Parenthood Global and worked for eight years as a human rights officer for UNICEF.

Frett said she wants to help the organization open “ways for those most marginalized to ensure social change on their own terms.”
