Katharine Krieger has been appointed vice president and chief investment officer of the Los Angeles-based J. Paul Getty Trust, a spokeswoman said.
Krieger, who will oversee its $8.6 billion endowment, will join the trust April 15. She will replace James Williams, who is also vice president and will retire June 28. After Krieger’s arrival, Williams will retain the vice president title until his departure, to ensure a smooth transition, the spokeswoman said.
Krieger was previously at The Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation and The Broad Art Foundation, where she oversaw over $2 billion in assets for both Los Angeles-based foundations and the Broad family office. Broad Foundations spokesman Tim Carter could not be immediately reached for further information.
