DAFgiving360, formerly known as Schwab Charitable, received $6.6 billion in charitable donations in fiscal year 2024, marking a 31% year-over-year increase for the organization.

Clients supported 141,000 charities through their donor-advised-funds (DAF) accounts with DAFgiving360. This year’s donors gave more than one million grants from DAFs, which resulted in $1.5 billion more being donated than DAFgiving360’s 2023 fiscal year.

Data from DAFgiving360 shows that 87% of donors granted to causes within their home state, and 70% of existing donors granted to organizations they had not previously supported. In addition, 72% of grants did not specify a purpose to charity, allowing the DAF account managers to decide where the donor funds are distributed; and 35% of grants were set up as automated recurring gifts to charities.
