The private aviation company Sentient Jet says it recently hit a milestone in its sustainability program, achieving an offset record of 1,339,235 metric tons of CO2 emissions since it launched in 2021.
At the time, Sentient Jet was the first company to offer a total carbon footprint as well as an offset match on every customer invoice — with all flights offset by 300% at no cost to card owners.
The company said it has also invested in several sustainability projects through its partnership with 4AIR, a ratings system — including electricity for more than 260,000 homes for one year and growing 22 million tree seedlings for 10 years.
“Sustainability is a priority across all industries, and the private aviation industry has a clear role to play in the conversation,” said Andrew Collins, co-CEO of Flexjet, Sentient Jet’s parent company. “Consistent with our history as industry innovators, we saw an opportunity to lead growth in this category and continue to be the most thoughtful way to fly.”
