This isn’t your grandfather’s Kentucky Derby. The 2024 Pegasus World Cup, one of the country’s richest horse races, takes off Jan. 27 in Hallandale, Florida.
A modern take on the legacy sport (minus the hat dress code), the race features unique themed entertainment experiences, including a DJ performance by Calvin Harris and food served by South Florida restaurants Gekkō, Komodo, Papi Steak, Swan and Casadonna.
Previous races featured performances by Nelly and T-Pain, Snoop Dogg and Mark Ronson, and Post Malone; and celebrity attendees like Jennifer Lopez, Lenny Kravitz, Pharrell Williams, Usher, Vanessa Hudgens, Vin Diesel and Venus Williams.
For this year’s race, presented by Baccarat, select ticketholders can enjoy the Baccarat Garden at Carousel Club, an enclave with up-close viewing, a private entrance, a bar featuring cocktails and concept food. The Pegasus World Cup’s winner will receive a limited-edition Pegase Horse in Black crystal statue valued at $47,000.
