The Nevis to St. Kitts Cross Channel Swim, a legendary 2.5-mile island-to-island crossing event founded by Winston Crook, announced new owners: Jane Hansom, founder of Sponge Marketing and Events, and SwimTrek.
The new owners aim to expand the event’s audience, seeking to make it one of the world’s premier international swimming events.
The swim goes from Oualie Beach on Nevis to Cockleshell Beach on St. Kitts and is included in the World Open Water Swimming Association’s Top 100 Most Iconic Swims.
Nevis, in the Leeward Islands of the West Indies, is the birthplace of founding father Alexander Hamilton and features the 3,232-foot Nevis Peak as well as thermal hot springs, craft houses, beach bars and pristine white-sand beaches.
