Jeff Bezos’ mystery neighbor slashed $50 million off the listing price of an empty waterfront lot next to properties owned by the billionaire in an exclusive neighborhood in South Florida.
The plot in Indian Creek Village, an artificial island that has been dubbed “Billionaire Bunker,” was listed about three months ago for $200 million, but its asking price has since been reduced to $150 million, said Ilya Reznik, the agent marketing the property for sale.
Reznik declined to name the seller. The pricing has been a testament to how expensive properties had become in the gated enclave of an island, which is accessible by invitation only and has its own police force and marine patrol. Reznik had expected Bezos to be a draw for buyers.
Bezos has bought three properties in Indian Creek since 2023. Besides Bezos, Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump also call Indian Creek’s palm-tree-lined streets home. Many of the properties on the island are waterfront, and the island also features a luxury golf course and country club.
“Not too many people can pay this kind of money for the lot, but we have a number of billionaires who are looking at the property,” Reznik said. “I think we will have much more action.”
