The family office space is filled with unique and interesting people who have access to so many facets of the world due to the very nature of the business. These renaissance men and women like to stay curious about a wide range of subjects spanning the arts and sciences. In this column, we ask three simple questions to industry heavyweights: what are you reading, watching and listening to.

If you follow me on LinkedIn, you can safely surmise that I will be watching "Ted Lasso," annually, for the rest of my life. After being a longtime romcom fan, in the last several years I have found myself immersed in science fiction shows. "Stranger Things" is by far my favorite, and most recently I loved watching "Silo," the sci-fi dystopian drama created by Graham Yost.
I love reading. On my desk right now you’ll find a couple of books on AI, Investing in the Era of Climate Change and Radical Candor. I like to give books to our team during the holidays… the last two years’ books were Time Off: A Practical Guide to Building Your Rest Ethic and Finding Success Without the Stress and 10% Happier: How I Tamed the Voice in My Head, Reduced Stress Without Losing My Edge, and Found Self-Help That Actually Works. Spoiler alert: This year’s book is going to be The Checklist Manifesto, as it is one that I not only love but frequently reference.
I mostly read nonfiction, but I just recently finished Horse, and I will recommend it to literally everyone as a must-read.
I’m not a huge podcast person, which I know is really uncool to admit. However, I do serve on the League of Women that produces "If You Knew Me," a podcast about the inner lives of women. I think there’s something really powerful when you hear your story in someone else, and this podcast offers that. I believe wholeheartedly in the power of story. I feel the greatest gift we can offer each other is our experience — not our judgments, not our concerns, not our opinions but, rather, share our experiences to help others.
