NewEdge Wealth LLC, a registered investment adviser specializing in ultra-high-net-worth families and family offices, recently hired Gregory Pool, a former partner at Wellington Management. Pool will add to NewEdge's growing Miami office, where he will work with team leader Pat Dwyer and join the firm’s investment committee. At Wellington, Pool managed multibillion-dollar global equity portfolios with a focus in long/short and long-only formats.

NewEdge, which launched in December 2020 and is based in Stamford, Connecticut, has established a national footprint with eight offices, opening its Miami office just last year and recently opening offices in San Francisco and Nashville.

Poll said, "South Florida remains one of the best markets to serve ultra-high-net-worth families, especially as they consider generational transfer in a turbulent market environment."
