Brown Advisory, an investment management and strategic advisory firm, has hired Eliza Erikson as a partner and head of Impact Investing and Advice.
The move signals a stronger commitment to impact investing, with the aim of deepening its relationship with current clients and next-gen family members. Erikson has over 20 years of experience in investing and sustainability, including education and edtech, financial services and fintech, renewable energy and sustainable agriculture.
Previously, she led global strategy at the Omidyar Network, the investing vehicle of eBay co-founder Pierre Omidyar. She was also formerly the managing director of a large multigenerational family office, where she concentrated on impact investing, and worked with the Corporation for Enterprise Development and the U.S. Agency for International Development
"We created this important role in response to our clients — and families — and understanding their ongoing focus on creating strategic approaches that align with their values and highlight their impact-centric goals," said Charlie Constable, head of Brown's U.S. private client, endowments and foundations business. “Eliza's experience lies squarely in the cross-section of multigenerational family office wealth planning and impact investing, making her the perfect person to lead this charge for our clients."
