The SFO Alliance, a membership network of over 800 family offices, is set to host its annual SFO Week in London on May 15 and 16.
This global meeting, aimed at single-family office investment teams, brings together a prequalified group of family offices for closed-door, peer-to-peer discussions focused on investing, structuring and governance.
The event, run by founder Lex van Dam and CEO Keith Johnston, is expected to attract more than 300 executives and principal family members who invest either in funds or direct investments and whose asset-class focus is on venture capital, private equity, credit, hedge funds and real estate.
Topics that will be covered at this year’s event include artificial intelligence, defense and climate tech, governance and portfolio construction. Previous keynote speakers included British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Russian dissident Mikhail Khodorkovsky.
“This year we are expecting a number of A-list appearances from politics, business, entertainment and sports, some of them outside speakers and others actual members,” van Dam said.
SFO Week is an invitation-only event held at a private location in central London.
