Rory Henry, director at the multi-family Arrowroot Family Office, is releasing a book for financial advisers this summer titled Holistic Guide to Wealth Management: The Science Behind Integrating Services with the Human Side of Advice.
Henry, a certified financial planner with an accounting background, features advising insights from more than 20 thought leaders, including accounting consultant Randy Johnston, Nitrogen co-founder Aaron Klein and Trust & Will CEO Cody Barbo, whose successful digital estate planning company was pivotal in Henry’s decision to write his first book.
“It was really when I saw Trust & Will come out, and I saw that you could connect estate planning in a streamlined and intuitive way,” Henry told Crain Currency. “I saw an opportunity for us to really connect the accounting and business advising world with the wealth advisory world to truly provide holistic advice to clients.”
CPA Trendlines is the publishing company for Henry’s Holistic Guide to Wealth Management. He has trademarked the term “Advis-ROR,” which he uses to explain the return-on-relationship metric between advisers and their clients.
“We’re big into behavioral finance; I believe in the human-first approach to financial guidance,” Henry said. “Helping people really uncover what matters most to them, outlining their values and then looking at the other dimensions of their life — not only financial but their emotional and physical — to help them live a fulfilling life.”
