The Maidstone boutique hotel in East Hampton will be the new summer home of New York City-based Loulou Petit Bistro this summer. Restaurateurs Mathias Van Leyden and Mino Habib teamed up with the property to bring their French hot spot out east.
Through Oct. 1, Loulou will be open nightly for dinner, with brunch served on the weekends. Executive Chef Evan Bergman has curated a menu including typical French dishes such as Niçoise salad, steak tartare, duck leg confit and PEI mussels with fennel, among others.
The Maidstone’s owner and former Wall Street executive Mayank Dwivedi acquired the boutique hotel in partnership with Irwin Simon, who’s known for supporting small businesses in the Hamptons community. The property itself focuses on the element of service — offering luxury amenities such as a beach butler, private airport drop-offs, kids activity leaders and personal training sessions.
