What a way to celebrate a birthday: Legendary luxury automaker Lamborghini marked its 60th anniversary year by premiering the Revuelto, its first V-12 super-sports plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, in front of over 500 guests in Japan on June 6. It was an appropriately dramatic location – Ariake Arena, which served as one of the Tokyo Olympic Games venues in 2021.
The car’s output of 1,015 hp is delivered from the combined power of an entirely new combustion engine, together with three electric motors, alongside a double-clutch transmission that makes its debut on a 12-cylinder Lamborghini for the first time.
“Revuelto takes Lamborghini emotions to a new dimension,” said Matteo Ortenzi, Revuelto product line director. “There’s no doubt it will define a new paradigm in terms of performance, sportiness and driving pleasure. With the new 12-cylinder engine and hybrid technology, this new Lamborghini delivers a new level of driving emotions.”
