Hedley Studios, formerly known as the Little Car Co., continues to captivate both car enthusiasts and art collectors with its exquisitely crafted miniature versions of classic cars. These scaled-down, electric re-creations — produced in collaboration with luxury brands like Ferrari, Bugatti, Aston Martin and Bentley — blend high-end automotive craftsmanship with artistic finesse.
At the helm of this visionary venture is CEO Ben Hedley. Though Hedley once dreamed of becoming a car designer, he realized early on that his artistic talents lay elsewhere. Instead, he pursued the academic side of automotive design, earning a spot to study undergraduate engineering at Cambridge University, followed by a master's in manufacturing engineering. His academic background, combined with a deep passion for cars, culminated in the creation of Hedley Studios.
One of the standout pieces in the current collection is the Aston Martin DB5 J "No Time To Die" Edition, a 66% scale replica of the 1963 DB5 Cabriolet. This miniature masterpiece is a nod to the 25th James Bond film, "No Time To Die," and comes equipped with playful features such as a smoke screen and a soundtrack from the movie.
Another prized creation is the Ferrari Testa Rossa J, a 75% scale re-creation of the legendary 1957 250 Testa Rossa racing car. With only 299 units ever made, each hand-built and numbered, it is a collector's item, either to drive or to showcase like a piece of art.
Besides these cars, Hedley Studios has elevated its presence with the launch of Hedley Galleries, an innovative pop-up that debuted this summer in Sag Harbor in the Hamptons. The gallery showcased these miniature luxury cars in a setting that merges art, design and automotive history.
The pop-up's success has set the stage for a global tour, with upcoming stops planned in exclusive locations like Manhattan, Miami, Monaco, Beverly Hills, Aspen and Porto Cervo. Through these galleries, Hedley Studios is creating an immersive experience for collectors and enthusiasts alike, bringing its blend of automotive art to prestigious destinations around the world.
